"I was nice seeing the Carroll House from the outside. It wasn't open this Sunday.
We tried emailing last night.
We saw the inside of the beautiful Catholic church next door. We met this lovely family, and the husband Francisco (Bo and/or Frank) is a part of Knights of Columbus. He tried to help us out, and we were very grateful 🙏. He works to give ranger rosaries to soldiers. ❤️"

"Very interesting history of the Carroll family and the house as told by the docent. They don't have a lot of furniture because they're raising money to refurbish it. There are several very old portions of the house to see. The view of Spa creek is beautiful and the grounds are pretty. It was an enjoyable and informative experience. Good place to visit if you're interested in architecture and the history of Annapolis."

"Guided tours and groups. Docents are well versed in early American history, and displays/labels are interesting. Dec. 2023 visit; interior is in "unrestored but stabilized and safe" condition, with the many different eras of construction clearly visible. Charles Carroll was a very wealthy man, an influential politician from Colonial times into the Federal Era, and the only Catholic Signer of the Declaration of Independence. His story intersects many of the stories you have learned about the Founders. Allow 45 minutes to an hour plus, more time if you read all of the wall cards and ask lots of questions."
