Many appreciate the kindness of the clergy and parishioners, finding solace and community during their visits. However, some long-time members express sadness over changes in church leadership or status, though the overall sentiment remains positive.
"THANK YOU Lord for helping me find my way. I landed from a cruise ship and wanted to take a moment for Thanks.
GOD gave me Holy Family Church.
8 am Monday service (I had missed Sunday) friendly people and a very good spiritual leader.
Trust in GOD and no matter where you are He will find you Safe Harbor."
John Thompson
"I've a long history with this church, having attended mass starting in the 80's with my (born and raised Catholic) best friend who later became my husband; the two of us then becoming dedicated and longtime members of the Sunday Traditional choir; a choir whose members offered much support for me when I became a Catholic and joined the church in 1995.
Currently, I don't celebrate mass here as often anymore, since much has changed and, with age, comes different perspectives.
This Anchorage, Alaska downtown historical church, visited by the Pope, has lost the title of Cathedral, something that has been very disheartening for me personally. And having to adapt to fluctuating staff members; including Pastors and Dominican brothers, all too often can be difficult for some, even as lovely as most of these people are.
There is a special place in my heart for this church. I have many beautiful memories here, that I will always cherish and hold dear."

"I'm glad that I found this Catholic Church when I was here. They are a homey, welcoming, and friendly church I experience when I travel to the world 🌎 for work. Thank you for all of your contributions to the church. Thank you for Fr. Matthew, blessed my rosary. The moment you gave me a radiant smile and accommodated me in less than a second… you touch my soul. Thank you for your blessings. I pray for your journey. I pray that I have an opportunity to come back here again!"
