What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Area 51 Alien Center to be a charmingly kitschy and fun roadside attraction. It's praised for its extensive alien-themed merchandise, unique photo opportunities, and a surprisingly good cafe with themed treats. While not a 'research center,' it delivers on its promise of quirky Americana and a memorable stop in the middle of nowhere.
"When I saw this place obviously I had to stop! As expected it’s pretty gimmicky with lots of alien merch but also some convenience store items. There’s also what appears to be a nice restaurant in the back but I already ate before I went. Seems they could use some more restrooms as there’s quite a few people there but the men’s only has one stall and two urinals. Keep your kids close as they may wander to the strip club next door… all in all charming and odd place in the middle of nowhere."

"Awesome destination for alien lovers! Delicious alien-themed food and ice cream in the restaurant in back of the store! Tons of alien t-shirts, hats, plushies, keychains, backpacks, sunglasses, magnets, snacks, alien jerky, and more. All the Area 51 gifts and souvenir stuff you could want! Definitely worth checking out!"

"We didn’t know what to expect, but the Area 51 Alien Center was a great surprise. The big green building and giant alien out front make it hard to miss — perfect for photos and a quick break from the road.
Inside, it’s more than just a gift shop. There’s a small café with hot food, snacks, and even frozen yogurt, which was a nice treat in the desert heat. You’ll find tons of alien-themed souvenirs, plus clean bathrooms and friendly staff.
Don’t go expecting a real “research center,” but if you’re into weird Americana or road trip oddities, this is a must-stop."
