"Well well, this review is long overdue! Last year we visited 'Green Spring Gardens' for the first time. Around the beginning of Spring on April 28, what a beautiful place to visit.
It's a public park that includes a historic 18th century plantation house. Green Spring is in the heart of a national historic district listed on the National Register of Historic places in 2003. This garden is also part of Fairfax County's park system.
It's beautiful, peaceful and the gardens are well maintained. There are plenty of shady spots around the walkway areas, ponds, a garden shop, a tea room in a historic house that includes a small gallery to exhibit local artists, a children's garden and herb & vegetable gardens.
The staff are helpful and friendly,
The more you see, the more you like. It's worth a visit this coming Spring!"

"This is one of my favorite gardens in the NOVA area. It's always busy which makes me feel safe. There are a variety of landscapes to admire on the grounds. The visitor center and greenhouse is host to activities and talks all year round. There has never been a visit I did not enjoy or come away with feeling lighter and refreshed. I envy any neighbors who are within walking distance of this gem."
