Many highlight the estate's stunning beauty, especially during seasonal events like Deck the Hall and the Fall Festival. "My husband and I visited on the self guided tour. The entire estate is impressive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. So much to see and history to absorb. We were unable to see a small portion of the gardens due to wedding ceremonies taking place, but were not bothered by it. The grounds are beautifully kept. It was nice to go at our own pace. We spent 4-5 hrs exploring and taking SO many pictures."

"I try and go every year to see Deck the Halls. The lights are BREATHTAKING!! Every year the lights in the house, are different. This year the theme was kind of "earthy." There are a lot of decorated plants, mannequins that are made out of moss and branches, and white lights. The cool part, for me, is there are areas that someone made scenes out of Legos. I'm into Legos this year and I thought that was pretty cool!
The inside of the house are pretty, but the outside lights are magical. The outside is a wonderland. If it's snowing or cold, walking around and seeing all the lighted displays, I think, gets you in the Christmas mood! I can't imagine all the manpower that goes into putting up all the lights and displays. Every year, they do an amazing job!
There's a station, at the entrance, that sells food and warm drinks. If you like gingerbread, you HAVE to buy their gingerbread cookies! They are sooo yummy! There's, also, a fire pit to stand by to get warm. And just in case you didn't get a chance to tell Santa everything you wanted for Christmas, he's there to listen. 😁
If you want to see beautiful Christmas lights, Stan Hywet is the place to go."

"We went to the Ohio Mart at Stan Hywet. What an incredible day! For 50 plus years the market has been selling premiere artisan works and this year did not disappoint. Such a beautiful setting for the Market. Plenty of restrooms, food options. Drink options are limited and a little pricey. Parking is off site with plenty of buses running to overflow spots. Loved this place!"
