Some minor critiques mention the cafe layout, but the positive aspects overwhelmingly make it a highly recommended visit.
"These gardens are lovely to walk around. Lots of beautiful plants and trees. They have a lovely childrens area. We didn't go to the forest part so can't comment on that. In the walled garden, they have vegetables growing and there was an opportunity to purchase surplus veg which we took advantage of. There is a pizza place within the gardens which was open and a cafe which I think they open on busier days. They have a lovely cafe which is fairly priced and you can sit outside overlooking water or inside. We had jacket potato and they were a generous size and had a generous filling. They have a gift shop and garden centre."

"We visited in the summer and we visited this weekend and I have to say the gardens are magnificent in their splendid autumn colours.
The planting schemes are impressive and maybe need a few more years to be at their best but as a new garden goes it’s a belter.
Japanese garden is taking shape with what looks like the creation of a large pool. Plus beyond on the terraces of the old house that burnt down we hear there could be plans to recreate the gardens which would be superb…
The food and coffee offer is very decent and the team very helpful.
Keep going Bridgewater we will keep popping in.
Lovely"

"I'm a member and visit frequently . It's been a delight to see how the gardens have evolved over time and the keen gardener will find plenty of food for thought and practical ideas to take home.
Personally I wish they would up their retail game as the plant shop has very little that reflects the garden itself and is all rather "garden centre" but it's still all well worth a day out , and return visits at different times of year"
