Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Westminster Abbey for its breathtaking architecture, profound historical significance, and the sheer weight of royal and national events that have unfolded within its walls. Many highlight the beauty of the Diamond Jubilee Galleries and the poignant Tomb of the Unknown Warrior. However, some find the admission fee steep and note that it can get very crowded, impacting the overall experience.

"If you are looking for an old building with all the vibes – this is it. I wasn’t really feeling London until we visited here. You don’t have to be religious or anything. The architecture, the artwork involved in carving places where important members of society and royalty are entombed for the rest of their lives is amazing. Even the Abbots burial spots are extremely interesting. The poets corner is like being in a library! Then we were visited by a Reverend from Australia and he was just so comforting to talk to about the Abbey and its contents. Spend as long as you like here. It is worth the price of admission because if you just watch the mass, you don’t get to see all there is to offer in this magnificent work of art structure! If you pay a few dollars more, you can take steps up to the top of the abbey to see another exhibit regarding the royal family. The views below are amazing (even though you cant take pics from above)"

Angela Criscola

"This is a "must-visit" when you are in London. Get online and reserve a time to visit if you want to go inside. It is free, but you may not be able to enter without doing this in advance.

This is a stunning building, inside and out, and it has so much history in its 1000 years. Just standing outside is breathtaking. We attended evensong, for which you don't need tickets. It is a religious service of the Anglican church, so you need to feel comfortable with this. It was very moving, and the music within the huge sanctuary was so beautiful.

This is justly famous, and you really do need to see this magnificent church."

Linda McLoon

"We had the city pass. We went around 1:00. The lineups were long but they moved fast. It is incredible inside, especially seeing the tombs of people I've only read about in books. It was amazing to stand on hallowed grounds."
