"I had such a wonderful experience at Wardown House that I have to share! I was in the area for a day out with my nieces when I came across a clay workshop being held there. Although I initially ended up at the wrong location, it turned out to be the best “wrong turn” I could have made.
From the moment we arrived, the front-of-house team were warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They told us about the “mouse trail,” a great activity where you explore the museum’s room. The kids absolutely loved it—it was fun, engaging, and sparked their curiosity.
We then joined the clay workshop with Jacqui and another friendly team member, and it was a hit! The kids had so much fun the atmosphere was relaxed and encouraging.
Afterward, we visited the café, where Patricia—working solo—provided exceptional service. We had hoped for afternoon tea but hadn’t booked the required 72 hours in advance. Despite this, Patricia went above and beyond, putting together a beautiful spread that was everything I could have hoped for and more. She was incredibly accommodating, and the food was delicious.
Overall, it was a truly fantastic afternoon—full of creativity, learning, and warm hospitality. I can’t recommend Wa House enough for anyone looking for a memorable, family-friendly experience in the area."
