"Enjoyed a great afternoon at this seminary college. Nice lunch with homemade soup ( but beware cafe closes quite early). Had a guided tour with Clare who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the college. Plenty of rooms to see and examples of historical decor, art and furniture. Beautiful. It was a very wet day so sadly we were not able to view the grounds and gardens. ...next time!"

Nothing is too much trouble.
Nice tea and coffee and water in rooms and perfectly clean mugs and glasses.
Rooms & en suite bathroom are clean and comfy beds with fresh bedding and towels all perfect for a good night's rest.
Very calming and peaceful .
The history is fascinating with lots of rooms to look at and a well stocked reading room that books can be purchased for a small or large donation and beautiful knitted toys dotted around the house.
Of course the Chapels are just out of this world and again a feeling of peacefulness alludes you whilst taking in the splendid scenery and history.
My only problem was I didn't stay long enough and for certain I will be returning in the new year
Thank you to Mark and crew for this wonderful opportunity to visit Ushaw xx"
