Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Hambleton Village for its stunning church, picturesque location on Rutland Water, and tranquil atmosphere. The illuminated stained-glass window is a standout feature. However, some find the village's access road can get congested on weekends, and the bell ringing from the church can be disruptive for those seeking absolute quiet.

"Lovely church in a very quiet village. This is accessed by one
small road, off of the Stamford to Oakham (A606). The buildings in the village are all built to blend in character, with the surrounding area. The road through the heart
of village, takes you to the banks of Rutland Water, but it is a dead end,and it gets quite narrow the further you go.On dry sunny days
there tends to be a lot of vehicles
heading down this way. We got so far along the road and turned around because of the traffic
queuing to get to the banks of the lake."

"The bizarre tastes of the few inflicted on the silent majority.
Yet another stay at a wonderful local establishment spoilt by continuous discordant bells lasting for what seems is an eternity.
I have the misfortune of staying nearby on one of their bell ringing practice nights.
I pity poor souls that have bought nearby property only to discover they are disturbed so frequently by this bell ringing racket !"

Nick Land

"Stunning village church. It has a beautiful stained glass window which is illuminated after dark. There are no streetlights in Hambleton so this is a very prominent feature viewed from the village green."
