Visitors consistently praise Ullapool Hill for its breathtaking summit views, describing the hike as a rewarding and accessible experience. The well-maintained path and the opportunity to leave a memento at the cairn are frequently mentioned positives. Some note the path can be rocky and muddy, and a windbreaker is advisable due to exposed conditions.

"Amazing views all the way up! Start a bit hard to find but if you Google Broom Park (a road), you will see the path sign with the little gate just right of an electric pylon. I am not a hiker and did it under 2 hours with lots of stops at all the benches up. A gradual rise, not steep. When you get to the silver ground map, that's the halfway mark - keep climbing. Sat at the bench at the top to watch the sunset. A must do!"

"Excellent small but energetic walk from the centre of Ullapool that gives large scenic views, the top is the small hill of Meall Mhor which overlooks Ullapool and has views up and down Loch Broom and out to the Summer Isles and the large mtns in the area , there is an indicater boardc halfway up that points out the tops and islands that can be seen on a clear day. It should take 2 -3 hours if your reasonably fit , paths are ok, typical hill paths so decent footwear is required"

Tork Mackenzie

"A fantastic hike to the top of Ullapool Hill. Ascent climb has a stoney path and lush vegetation which changes to low vegetation (heather, grass, some bracken ) and exposed rock faces. There are two inclines before you arrive at the top. The view is beautiful and I encourage you to leave a stone on the cairn as a memento."
