"Had a fantastic tour of the theatre, the guides were very knowledgeable. Lots to see that you don't normally get access to. Amazing to see how things work behind the scenes. You do need to book in advance, but definitely recommend it."

"Visited the Tyne Theatre and Opera house back in January to watch the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra. As we weren't from the area, we had no idea what to expect other than seeing photos online.
The theatre is a beautiful traditional theatre with stunning architecture that I could look at all day.
We had front row seats that had plenty of leg room which, given my outfit, was greatly needed!! I normally struggle with seats in old theatres being very narrow and digging into my hips but I didn't have any problems and comfortably jammed along to LSRO all night.
Biggest shout out is to the staff who were there that night. Having eloped that day we were still in our wedding outfits which made certain things (like using the toilet on your own) difficult. We spoke to the manager for the evening's event, whose name I wish I could remember, and she helped us find the facilities and our seats before surprising us with some drinks and a programme on the house. She made us feel so welcome and was a huge factor in our rating above.
I'd recommend coming here to watch gigs and shows, even if you're not big on architecture, the staff and atmosphere alone will have you coming back again and again!"
