Reviews Summary

Thorpe Marsh is praised as a peaceful, hidden gem ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers, offering tranquil walks and good wildlife viewing from hides. However, some visitors note issues with litter and challenging access due to limited signage and parking.

"I nice place to stretch your legs. Also an interesting tribute to Peter Fidler, an explorer of what is now central Canada for the Hudson Bay Co."

M Lacey

"Beautiful place. Shame gypos and thugs dump their rubbish here. This lot (pictured) has been here for months now. Wonder when the park managers will clean it up? They’re quick enough to cut down trees in the name of management but do nothing about the litter?"

Michael Thomas

"Hidden gem. Excellent for peaceful family walks. The reserve is well looked after. The hides for viewing are good sized and offer some excellent views across the reserve. Pack a bag with some sandwiches, a flask of your favourite warm beverage and a pair of binoculars and watch the hours dissappear. Love it here. I'm biased however as my late grandfather was chairman of the reserve for 10 years and I spent a lot of my childhood here. Now I spend time with my children there and they love it as much as I used to."
