"A peaceful park with beautiful views of Swindon
One of my favourite places in Swindon for a quiet walk. The Lawns is full of greenery, woodland trails, and two small lakes with swans and ducks. If you walk up toward the church ruins, you’ll get an amazing panoramic view over the town—it’s especially beautiful at sunset!
It’s perfect for dog walking, relaxing, or just enjoying nature. There are no toilets or cafés, so bring your own water/snacks. Still, the calm atmosphere and scenery make it well worth a visit if you’re in Old Town.

"What a nice 3k walk you have a few old buildings It is a shame there is nothing there to tell you what they were. There is a nice lake with a few places to fish if that your thing. From the top of the hill there is good views of Swindon from the football stadium all the way to B&Q DC. It is a shame there is no coffee shop or even any toilets. A nice kids park would fit in nicely."
