Reviews Summary
While the provided reviews are for a medical center and not the Teign Estuary Walk, general feedback for similar coastal walks often praises the scenic beauty, abundant wildlife, and peaceful atmosphere. Potential drawbacks can include unpredictable weather and muddy conditions after rain, requiring visitors to be well-prepared.
"We are so impressed that this surgery invariably gives a doctor’s response within hour of any initial call. It’s great that we can still be seen in person, with no delay, where the need to do so is clear. Thanks to all the team."

"We had to change to this surgery many months ago (late 2023) because of dissatifaction with other local surgeries and although I would love to write a long list of compliments in this review, I think, in all honesty my wordage would simply be a copy of all the good "stuff" written in all the Five Star reviews relating to the Glendevon Medical Centre. From the doctors to the nursing and support staff, I believe one cannot find a better, caring bunch of professionals in the NHS."

"After having an ambulance out due to breathing difficulties in the middle of the night. After treatment of oxygen and being nebulisezed (100% excellent paramedics) I was advised to call my doctor in the morning.
I called and was told the doctor would give me a call back (triage)
The call was almost immediate with an appointment in just over an hour.
My treatment was professional, thorough and caring. The doctor's attention to detail was second to none. He even took my bloods and days later called to check how I was and if the antibiotics were working
This surgery offers excellent service and mantains such a standard.
I am so grateful"

Understanding the Tides
Many visitors recommend using online tide tables or local tide apps to get accurate predictions. The difference between high and low tide can be substantial, so understanding this cycle is key to a successful Teign Estuary walk. Some sections might be more forgiving than others, but being aware of the tidal impact is a common piece of advice from seasoned walkers and birdwatchers alike.
Birdwatching Hotspots
Popular spots for birdwatching include the areas around Cockwood, Stover Country Park (though slightly inland, it connects to the estuary system), and the mudflats visible from the paths near Shaldon. Bringing a good pair of binoculars is highly recommended to get clear views of the birds, many of which can be quite distant. Patience is key; finding the best viewing spots often involves quiet observation and understanding the birds' feeding patterns, which are often dictated by the tides.
