Reviews Summary

Swanage Beach is widely praised for its beautiful sandy shores and clear waters, offering a quintessential British seaside experience. Visitors appreciate the town's amenities, including numerous cafes and shops. However, the beach can become extremely crowded during summer, and parking can be a significant challenge, leading some to advise visiting during off-peak times.

"Absolutely stunning beach.
Beautiful sand with clean, clear waters.
Really well maintained beaches with lots of toilets around, right in the town centre for cafes and restaurants. Punch and Judy show on multiple times a day."

Ryan Hobday

"After an horrendous 4 hour journey which should have taken 2 hours at most, on an open top bus, due to Summer traffic, via the Sandbanks ferry, I found Swanage to be a scenic, but very busy place to go. A pleasant enough town but not enough parking for all the holidaymakers that descended on the area on what was a very hot summers day. There were plenty of places to eat and drink and enjoyable walks along the coast. My advice would be stay clear in the Summer months, especially weekends, unless you want to sit in long traffic queues!"

Barbara Blanchard

"not bad, very crowded. I was there on Saturday, on Sunday there will probably be even more people. The beach is sandy with pebbles in some places. Lots of entertainment, cafes, restaurants. Everyone will find something to their taste."
