Reviews Summary

Visitors praise The Weir Garden for its natural beauty, tranquil riverside setting, and charming walled garden. It's a lovely spot for a peaceful wander, with the added bonus of Roman ruins and a natural play area for children. Some find the admission fee a bit high for the garden's size, and the terrain can be challenging in parts.

"Nice little wander to have, not huge but beautiful and you can buy some local produce. Lovely that they have tried to incorporate things for the kids to so. Our dog loved joining us on our adventure"

Zoe Logan- Harvey

"The garden covers 10 acres, and was the creation of its prior owner, Roger Parr, and his head gardener, William Boulter. The adjoining house is used as a nursing home and is not open to the public.
Great if you're a National Trust member, but to be honest, we don't think you would be too happy paying £8.50 for entry.
Dogs are welcome. The ruins of a Roman temple possibly associated with a high-status Roman villa, which may have connections to the nearby Roman town of Magnis, lie inside the Weir Garden by the River Wye 😊, it was a nice morning walk through the garden though, a nice walled Garden as well.
Parking is right by the entrance."

"Very tranquil place, right alongside the river. Stunning views across Herefordshire. Beautiful garden that frlt very natural. I took my elderly parents and there were a few paths that were difficult for them due to tree roots and not being wide enough or level. Didn't have the time to do the walled garden, we're saving it for the next visit."
