The unique historical details, like etched signatures in the stained glass, add a special layer of intrigue. While primarily an arts venue, its historical significance shines through, making it a beloved spot in Sudbury.
"This was originally a medieval church (St Peter) which is in the center of town. It has now been transformed into the Sudbury Arts Centre to help with the church's conservation.
We visited on Remembrance Day, so they had a running video for those to be remembered and there were red poppies adorning around the projection.
There is a small cafe for some tea, snacks and other goodies. It was open to the public when we went, so we could look at all the wonders of the olde church.
I am not sure if it was already known, but on the second floor, one of the clear stained glass has some signatures and dates etched in it. I was done on both the inside and outside of the glass. One name may read. “Robert Howard Glazers (?) Dec 2 - 1799”, on the outside, it looks to read “Geo. ? Johnsons 1782” and “Glazing Sudbury”. I am just guessing on some parts that I couldn't decipher fully. - See last 2 photos for the etching ⛪️"

"Saw Robbie Gladwell and friends last night, what a fantastic place to see Suffolk’s top band, the venue adds something special to what we knew would be a great evening listening to the music of our era performed by the very talented ten musicians that make up the band, the bar was very reasonable and in this ‘cathedral ‘ of rock as it was last night in the centre of lovely Sudbury what’s not to like!. Been here in the daytime too for a cuppa and a sausage roll, great place to sit."

"Went to the Farmers Market last, week and was very impressed. I'm new to the area and I'm looking forward to other events being held there.
The poppies painted all around were a lovely touch for Remembrance Day."
