The profiled archway of the main entrance is a true piece of craftsmanship. On the inside, I really love way the stone and masonry archways and walls rise up to meet a very traditional style wooden ceiling, giving the church a very warm feel."

There are some very old ruined walls in the perimeter and the feeling of history and stories in the ether is very strong. If there is any criticism, it is that the trees were cut back ruthlessly and one of the locals was upset by this. Indeed there was no need for it, the trees are beautiful and should always be tended to respectfully."

Don't miss the beautiful Flower Festival at this delightful old church that Queen Elizabeth the first attended back in history. So many wonderful arrangements by skilled people. There is a fabulous carved rood screen. I wonder if you will discover the Les ingot with King Henry the Vlll's stamp on it. The Festival has a few more days to run. A loo is available. The floor is suited to wheel chairs."
