What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Squid Game Experience in London to be a fun and engaging activity, particularly for fans of the show. The games are well-executed, and the staff contribute positively to the atmosphere. However, some feel the experience is a bit rushed for the price and that the scoring system could be clearer.
"Overall a great day. The 5 games were really fun and the props were great. Two teens and adults really enjoyed it. The staff once you go through the door were really engaging on 28th Nov making it fun for kids and adults. You can take photos throughout. Way better than I was expecting. About 15 mins walk from ifs cloud cable car plenty of shops on the way. Good gift shop too. Only took a point away for paying £2 for a locker as requested by staff, then it wouldn't open and no help given. Chap on cloakroom was particularly rude unfortunately."

"We really enjoyed this experience. Reasonably priced. Good attention to detail. We didn't feel rushed. Our host Matthew was fabulous, friendly & fun! Each of the 5 games was engaging, fun and just as they are on the series (obviously with no violence!). Highly recommended."
Izzy Watts
"We loved it. A group of 4 joining 19 other people to enjoy 5 different games. Fun and engaging, a great way to spend an hour with friends and family - or even solo travellers too!"

Navigating the Games: From Red Light to Rock Paper Scissors
Beyond these, the experience includes a Marbles game, which offers a blend of nostalgia and strategy, and a Tug of War challenge that requires teamwork and strength. While the games are designed to be fun and engaging, some visitors note that the scoring can feel arbitrary, and the stakes, while present, are obviously not as dire as in the show. The overall duration is about an hour, so be prepared for a fast-paced series of challenges.
For those who make it to the end, the ultimate winner is often determined by a final, quick game of Rock Paper Scissors. This adds a touch of unpredictability to the conclusion. The experience aims to replicate the show's atmosphere, with staff actively encouraging a competitive spirit and keeping the energy high throughout the hour.
The Immersive Element: What to Expect Beyond the Games
Staff play a crucial role in enhancing the immersive feel. They are described as engaging and fun, helping to maintain the high energy and excitement throughout the experience. While the games themselves are the main draw, the overall presentation, including props and the themed environment, contributes to the feeling of stepping into the world of Squid Game. However, it's important to manage expectations; some reviews suggest that while fun, the 'immersive' aspect might feel somewhat rushed or less detailed than anticipated, particularly given the one-hour timeframe.
Beyond the games, there are opportunities to purchase souvenirs from the gift shop, though some visitors have noted that the selection could be improved. The location at ExCeL London also means you're in an area with other attractions and amenities, making it a potential part of a larger day out.
