What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for the South West Coast Path near Seaton are mixed, with many praising the beauty of the coastline, particularly the Seaton to Beer walk. However, the Seaton to Lyme Regis section is frequently criticized for being overgrown, challenging, and potentially misleading due to outdated path information, leading to safety concerns for some.
"Google must delete this part of the SW coastal walk (from millendreath to seaton) on the map. It's dangerous and has been moved inward due to landslides ten years ago but still shows on Google map. We walked on it today, it was scary and both of us were very anxious for our safety."
Pat Dear
"Please do not walk this path from Seaton to Lyme Regis (or the other way around). The path is overgrown with trees and bushes and you cannot see the ocean very much. And if it has rained recently it's just a muddy mess. There's a sign that says it takes 3.5 to 4 hours to walk from Seaton to Lyme Regis but the sign fails to mention that the walk is boring and you can't tell how far you've walked because you can't see anything! And then you have to walk back or take a bus. Not recommended!
But the walk from Seaton to Beer is great."
