"My daughter is really interested in history so thought she would enjoy this. Also my family donated some items to the museum and I was really interested in seeing them.
We arrived not knowing what to expect really however I can 100 percent say that I am so glad we visited.
With your entry fee (which was very reasonable) you get a tour round the museum. Our tour guide was John and he was very knowledgeable, he made the visit for us! He made it exciting and could answer all the questions we threw at him.
The museum itself is really well done and the reconstructions were brilliant (I won't spoil the surprise for you).
At the end we discovered that the staff there were volunteers which made it even more special as it just shows that they genuinely love the subject.
At the end we were very kindly shown the objects that were donated which were amazing to see.
We left feeling enlightened and humbled by the men that fought and gave their lives.
A must see if you are in the area, if you aren't in the area then get yourself in the area as it's not something to be missed 🙂
Thank you to the staff that we met that day."

"Great place to visit and very interesting and informative. It gives you an insight into the first world war and the history of the local men and women from the country who went to war. There are very well informed guides who will make the experience more enjoyable for children. Our group really enjoyed the overall experience and our 3 guides were first class and knew how to make it interesting for the children."

"We had a guided tour. It was very interesting thanks to the very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. She explained so much and made reference to many local people, men and women involved in the First World war from both sides of the community. The visit included, video and audio presentations and a "mock up" of the trenches to experience. I would highly recommend a visit."
