"A nice and creative sculpture outside the Nottingham playhouse. You can take great photos of the sculpture it self from different angles or you can make an artistic photo shoots in front of it. It's better to be visited in the morning, won't be very clear at night, but still can give you the chance to create magnificent photo ideas."
Heidi
"Definitely worth a look. Shame white van man is allowed to park and spoil the effect. It feels a little under appreciated, the mini sculpture/ sign pointing towards it from the main road is damaged. Lovely effects though especially on. Sunny day."

The Art of Reflection
Created by the renowned artist Anish Kapoor, the sculpture is designed to be interactive, inviting viewers to engage with their environment through its reflective properties. The effect is most dramatic on clear, sunny days, where the sky's colors and textures are vividly captured. However, even on overcast days, the Sky Mirror offers an intriguing visual distortion that sparks curiosity.

Photography Tips for Sky Mirror
When composing your shots, don't just focus on the sculpture itself. Incorporate the surroundings – the Nottingham Playhouse, the sky, and even yourself – into the frame. Experiment with low angles to emphasize the sky's reflection and high angles to capture the curvature of the mirror.
Be mindful of potential obstructions like parked vehicles, which some visitors note can detract from the view. While evening visits offer a different mood, the reflections are generally less defined. For the most impactful images, aim for a bright, clear day and be prepared to get creative with your angles.
