"A stretch of beach in Shoeburyness, fabulous for wind surfing and kite boarding. It is dog friendly between 30th September and 30th March. There are two car parks but one is locked from October to March, parking is free after 6pm. There are two great cafés and public toilets. Next to the beach are massive, flat, green fields, perfect for picnics, ball games and walking the dog. Looking out to sea on East Beach, to the left, you can see The Boom which is a historical site. When the tide is out, you can walk out on the mud."

We visited Shoebury East Beach last Sunday and had a lovely time. When we arrived, the tide was really far out and the water felt miles away, but by the evening it came back right up to the shore, which was fun to watch. There’s a big grassy area with trees near the parking, and some playing fields on the side where the kids had loads of fun. It’s a peaceful spot, perfect for families. We’ll definitely be back!"
