A warning to other pet owners: the rabbits at Sharkham Point, Brixham have Myxomatosis! We found three sick bunnies and the remains of another! Apparently when dogs eat wild rabbit carcasses they carry a risk of infection, illness and transmission of the disease to pet rabbits. Fortunately Millie and Flo are fully vaccinated and seem ok, but not great for the rabbits, RSPCA and Animals in Distress...

Be aware of potential Myxomatosis in wild rabbits; keep pets on a lead and away from carcasses. Instagram

Berry Head to Sharkham Point loop 🔁 This was a 7.5km loop complete with a lunch stop at @guardhouse_cafe 🐷 we started at the Berry Head car park (which was super expensive btw, I’m talking over £6 for over 4 hours and it didn’t accept contactless… luckily Harry had pound coins!). The walk alone came under 2 hours so we could have saved pennies on the parking here, but fancied the lunch! 🥪 Beau...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the beautiful headland and stunning panoramic views over Torbay and St. Mary's Bay. The numerous tracks and paths offer exploration for all levels of adventure, from easy walks to more challenging cliff routes. While the access road is narrow and parking can be limited, the natural beauty and unique heritage make it a highly recommended spot for an afternoon walk or a scenic picnic. Reddit

"Beautiful headland. Beautiful views and lots of tracks and paths. Narrow access road to the car park shared with walkers - go slow folks. Easy walking on the paths and there are gates to lesser-travelled tracks / game paths through the brambles down and around the cliffs on the east and north sides for the more adventurous. Lots of hidden spot to explore. The views are all wonderful but especially looking south west.

You could keep walking north to St Mary’s Bay (steep steps down) then on to Berry Head, or South along the coastal path which is quite up and down, too."

Jon Tan

"Beautiful views, birdsong and a unique natural heritage. There is a charge for parking, but well worth it and also makes the winding road drive up here worth it too."

Brian Hesketh

"Beautiful circular walk from Berry Head to Sharkham Point. As with cliff walks there were a few steep up and downs but worth the effort."
