"About a 2-mile loop hike. Short walk from the Portree village. Great views of Loch Portree, stone walls. Even though a relatively short hike distance wise, we found two sections to be somewhat challenging. One section was quite narrow, uphill, and rocky along the coast, with a drop off to the loch on the right. Then the trail turns more uphill with short switchbacks. We went counter-clockwise on the trail which I would recommend as it would be easier to go through the challenging sections while going uphill."

"Loved this wee walk and did it several times while staying in Torvaig. Lovely wooded sections combine with low level coastal views and a steep climb above a raised beach. Luck enough to spot both golden and sea eagles from the path! The detour onto Ben Chracraig is stunning and highly recommended for views of Portree, Black and Red Cullins, the mainland ranges and the Old Man of Storr, but very boggy in October. Also very airy - beware of steep drops. Walking boots and binoculars are a must."
