What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sandy Park is widely praised for its fantastic atmosphere, cleanliness, and friendly staff, making it a great venue for both rugby matches and events. While food can be pricey and parking challenging on busy days, the overall experience is highly positive, with many appreciating the modern facilities and easy access.
"Great day out, fantastic atmosphere, good food choice options if a little pricey. Really pleasant staff that are very helpful and really help create the family atmosphere.
The place is spotlessly clean and puts to shame some indoor venues I have been too.
The only little negativity is the parking but that’s not a major problem."

"A well laid out modern stadium. Easy to get to, with plenty of parking on site and within walking distance. The amenities within the stadium are well though out and are practical for a large crowd. Best of all are their own brand pasties, expensive but worth it. If you need to stay over, the nearby hotel is just the otherside of the shared carpark. We have now been twice in the passed couple of weeks for Women's Rugby World Cup games, and have had a fantastic time."

"My first visit to Sandy Park for the Women’s World Cup, it all went very smoothly. Caught train from Exeter Central Digby & Sowton Station then a gentle 15min walk to the ground. Stadium well layed out, comfortable and clean, good food concession even catered for my coeliac wife. Only downside we were not allowed to take metal drinking bottles in to the venue. Looked on Chief’s website and they allow metal water bottles, apparently the women’s World Cup organisers decided to change the criteria. They feared them being used as weapons, thus forcing us to buy plastic bottles. Advertising at the ground says refill not landfill pity authorities do not take more notice of their own publicity.I do not think 10,000 adolescent girls are really a safety hazard?"
