"My friend and I did the 2 hour heritage tour. Really enjoyed it, informative and entertaining. We enjoy the shows at the Royal court so being able to stand on the stage and see behind the scenes was a real treat. Only paid £5 each as well! Well worth it"

Jacqui Trollone

"Went with the family to watch the Derby - Days. Great writing from Ian Salmon and great acting from the cast. Good banter between Reds and blues in the audience that never overstepped the mark....reminded me of the 80's when everyone travelled together to Wembley and sung "Merseyside"
That good, even the matinee was full. Go and see it. 🔴🔵"

""SPEEDO MICK" The Musical.
What a brilliant show. I have no idea how they think shows like this up, really clever and so funny, but tinged with an edge of sadness due to Mick's mental health issues.
It told his story very well, and absolutely caught his manic, madcap approach to the tasks he set himself, his determination, his ability to overcome adversity and his outrageous sense of humor throughout.
The man is a flawed superhero and the play captured this completely.
I hope this show gets to go on the road, the whole country would benefit from it.
WELL DONE TEAM."

The Royal Court Experience: More Than Just a Show

The Royal Court Liverpool is renowned for its distinctive cabaret-style stalls, where audience members can enjoy performances from the comfort of tables. This setup fosters a unique, intimate atmosphere, making it feel less like a traditional theatre and more like a lively gathering. It's particularly suited for shows that encourage audience interaction or have a strong comedic element, as seen in reviews of productions like 'Derby - Days'. The setup also means that booking in advance is crucial, especially for popular shows or the highly sought-after Monday £15 ticket scheme, as seating can be first-come, first-served within the stalls. Reddit

Beyond the main auditorium, the heritage tours offer a fascinating glimpse into the theatre's rich history. For a modest fee, visitors can explore behind the scenes, stand on the iconic stage, and learn about the venue's past. This experience is highly praised for being both informative and entertaining, providing a deeper appreciation for the Royal Court's significance in Liverpool's cultural landscape. Reddit It's a perfect addition for theatre enthusiasts or anyone curious about the building's stories.

When planning your visit, consider the Monday ticket scheme as an excellent way to experience the Royal Court affordably. While it offers great value, remember that seating might not be pre-allocated, so arriving early is key to securing a good spot at one of the cabaret tables. Reddit The theatre's commitment to showcasing local talent and producing engaging, often humorous, and sometimes poignant shows ensures a memorable visit for all.

Navigating Tickets and Seating

Understanding the ticketing system at the Royal Court is key to a smooth visit. The £15 Monday ticket scheme is a major draw, offering incredible value. However, a common point of discussion among visitors is that these tickets may not come with allocated seating. This means that upon arrival, you'll be finding your spot among the cabaret-style tables on a first-come, first-served basis. Reddit To make the most of this, it's advisable to arrive a little earlier than usual, especially if you have a specific table preference.

For other performances, standard ticket options are available, and it's always recommended to check the specific seating arrangements when booking. The theatre's layout, with its tables in the stalls, creates a convivial atmosphere, and knowing your seating situation beforehand can enhance your experience. Booking tickets in advance through the official website or authorized sellers is generally the best approach to guarantee entry and secure your preferred seats, as popular shows can sell out quickly. Reddit

If you're interested in a more in-depth experience, the heritage tours are a separate ticketed event. These tours are often highlighted as excellent value and provide a unique opportunity to see the theatre from a different perspective. Ensure you book these tours in advance as well, as they have limited capacity and are a popular choice for visitors wanting to delve deeper into the Royal Court's history. Reddit
