Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Royal Arcade's vast and eclectic collections, often describing it as an 'Aladdin's Cave' perfect for finding unique gifts and collectibles. The historic Melbourne location is lauded for its beautiful architecture and iconic statues. Some note that staff can be scarce during quieter periods, and the focus is more on modern memorabilia than traditional antiques.

"Good for collectibles.

A large, meandering arcade filled with an eclectic assortment of modern memorabilia and collectibles. No real antiques, in the traditional sense, though there some furniture pieces for sale.

The selection of comic books in particular was excellent but, sadly, there was nothing I wanted on this occasion.

Very few staff about on the mid-week morning I visited."

"If you are a fan of antiques and collectibles this is the best place. Situated in the heart of Southport, Royal arcade is probably the best antique shop I have seen in all my travels. On 2 floors you can easily spend 2,3 hours browsing and being amazed with the collection this place has. From old collectable comic books to memorabilia to antique furniture and clothes to a huge collection of statues. This place has absolutely everything you want, a great collection of books, army collectable items , native art. Probably over half a million items are featured in this store. As my photos show it is a place to get your gifts or an amazing way to decorate your house or a great gift idea to your loved ones!"

"The Royal Arcade is an amazing place to visit. You could spend the whole day browsing, an absolute Aladins cave. Such wonderful presents I have bought for family and friends. Such a lovely experience, I look forward to visiting the Royal Arcade soon."
