"Our first visit to Rooftop Film Club was a mixed experience. While there were some great aspects, a few things could definitely be improved.
The Experience:
The venue is a bit of a trek—be prepared to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. We arrived early and were greeted by a friendly employee, but we weren't directed to the box office to pick up our headphones and popcorn. After finding our seats, we had to get back in the long box office line to get our items. For daytime showings, the sun makes it very difficult to see the screen, so it feels more like a fun experience than a serious movie outing.
The Venue & Amenities:
The movie screen looked a bit weathered and could use some maintenance. On the plus side, the 'loveseat' we opted for was comfortable and adjustable. The ability to order drinks and food from your seat using a QR code was also very convenient. A major downside was the restroom situation: the facilities on the floor below were out of order, and the only available option was a single, unisex restroom on the 3rd floor, which created an impossibly long line after the movie.
Service:
Despite the initial confusion, all the employees we interacted with were friendly.
Price:
Be prepared for a somewhat pricey outing, though the views do help justify the cost.
Overall, it's a fun concept and a great atmosphere, but the logistical issues with the restrooms and the daytime screen visibility are significant drawbacks. Go for an evening show if you want to actually see the movie clearly, and be prepared for a long line for the bathroom after the credits roll."

Only downside was that we never got the pizzas we ordered because the kitchen was too busy. They were nice enough to refund us, but we would have appreciated the staff to let us know at any point between ordering at 7.20 and the movie ending at 9.15 😊"

"Had a really enjoyable first time experience of watching a movie on a rooftop with a magnificent skyline view. The reclining seats were really comfy and from the minute you arrive, there are friendly faces to greet you. My friend and I loved watching the romantic comedy movie, Crazy, Stupid, Love as well as eating the delicious pizzas and cocktails on offer. I had trouble ordering food as our seats did not have QR codes, but the friendly staff were there on hand to help out. Such a wonderful atmosphere and we’ll definitely visit again to watch more movies under the night sky with the birds and planes flying overhead!"
