Roker Pier is so back! And so are tunnel and lighthouse tours. Two years after Storm Babet did her best to batter the Grade II-listed structure, the red and white landmark is back open to the public, meaning tunnel tours can also resume. Dependent on tides, the tours need to be pre-booked and are a fascinating foray into this Victorian feat of engineering which took 100 men 18 years to complete....

Amazing views and so interesting learning the history of why the pier was needed and how it was built. A completely different perspective of a popular beach walk. Would highly recommend.
