Reviews Summary

Visitors describe Rempstone Stone Circle as a place of quiet, subtle energy, appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere and ancient stones. While some find it underwhelming compared to more famous sites, others value its understated nature and the surrounding natural beauty. It's recommended for those seeking a contemplative experience rather than a grand spectacle.

"not visited Remstone forest for a while as moved out of Dorset.
But Remstone to Wareham, Corfe & Castle Studland, Purbecks (inc the whole of the cliff walks) from Sandbanks to Osmington and surrounding districts I've lovingly visited for 25 years +..trekking and cycling.
Remstone forest from Studland to Wareham is a a fair walk..but cycling is most probably more suitable.
There's a campsite nr the forest.
The whole areas I've mentioned are memorable to me.
The history too I've taken a great interest in.
Stories and incidents I've encountered are life long memories.
You need to explore on foot or if possible cycle.
Vehicles not accessible where I'm talking..getting to a base yes.
Get a map ideally, then, of course you can use technology to guide you..but definitely get a map as you can see the areas I've mentioned as a whole.
I'm talking OS maps pinpointing paths.
Also, there are great booklets on the walks.
I bought the Dorset Pub walks..easy to address.
You start at a pub and take in a bit of countryside inc cliff walks and return to the pub..very handy after a good walk or trek.
We used to visit, a lot, the Kingston Arms in Kingston, village above Corfe Castle..turn right as your coming out of Corfe on the Swanage rd. .about a mile..on the bend your see the KA.
If you carry on the main rd about 1.5m further turn right to Worth Matravers..from there are great walks to the cliffs and sea..about 40 mins to Winspit or Seacome. Chapmans pool is about 50mins. . (steep though) You can walk the cliff paths. Beware of cliffs and quarries..deaths have occurred. Enjoy."

"Stonehenge this is not. A few misserable scattered fairly large stones and an overgrown ditch with weeds on the edge of a busy road. Mystical it is not."
