What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Priory Park Hitchin for its role as a vibrant event venue, hosting exciting music festivals and community races. The scenic views, especially during sunset, are a notable positive. However, the park's nature as an open field means visitors should be prepared for weather and potential issues like dog waste, and understand it's not a traditional park for casual visits.
"Dreams can come true… but so can unexpected downpours. Saw Gabrielle and Heather Small at Priory Park for Soul on Sunday. Iconic. The vocals? Out of this world. The weather? Out of reach from anything resembling shelter. It rained, we got soaked, but still proud to have powered through with soggy dignity. However, the vibes were strong and the crowd kept movin’ on up. Next time, I’m bringing a poncho, a chair, and zero expectations of staying dry. Would I do it again? Absolutely."

"A nice big field on the edge of Hitchin. Beautiful views to the west of the hills between Hitchin and Luton. Wonderful sunsets. Note that this is not a 'park' in the conventional sense, despite the name - it's a farmer's field, and for much of the year it's covered in crops. There are a couple of big footpaths running across it (which join up with Brick Kiln Lane, behind), though, so you can still enjoy the views at any time of year."

"Not a park, rather a large field. But a great open space close to the centre of Hitchin. The views are good at the top of the field if the weather allows. Slightly spoiled by dog owners allowing their pet to deficate and not collecting it."
