"What a pleasant place in Ealing Green, West London, this is! The former garden of the Manor is now a park always open to the community, and the building itself is such a simple gem of architecture, tranquility & beauty. Contrary to the clutter found in Sloane Museum, in Central London, here you will find an oasis of minimal exquisite taste in the hand painted walls, a large XVII century rug, and nice sculptures & lamps. Staff is super friendly, wishing you luck -as I had- of finding a nice volunteer lady guide for the visit to have extra substance! A quick ride from Central with Lizzie line."

"Gorgeous newly decorated manor-house with preservation work of the original interior and art of Sir John Soane’s life. We came as a group and were assigned a highly knowledgeable guide. The rooms are beautiful, and they give a real sense of how they were occupied and decorated in the interests of Sir John Soane’s life."

"Had a had a fantastic time at Pitzhanger. The house is beautiful and very interesting to read the history, and I love the way they have integrated the temporary exhibition throughout. I went on a Friday in August when it was free for Ealing residents, but will definitely come back to see the next exhibitions. The gift shop is also very nice and I ended up buying a couple of things."
