"The Pierhead is a vibrant area between the 3 Graces buildings and the River Mersey. The Museum of Liverpool and the Mersey Ferry Terminal are adjacent to the area, whilst Albert Dock is nearby.

The public spaces have been constructed to a high standard and feature historic statues and memorials associated with the area. The Leeds Liverpool canal ends at the Pierhead through a tunnel which has extended it fro Stanley Dock.

There is a statue of the Beatles where very often you need to queue to get a photo! Also when we were there we saw a sporty young seagull playing football with a tennis ball!"

Each building boasts unique and impressive design elements, reflecting the Edwardian era's grandeur. Visitors often spend time admiring their scale and intricate details from various vantage points along the waterfront. Instagram

The Royal Liver Building, with its iconic clock towers topped by Liver Birds, is perhaps the most recognizable. The Cunard Building is known for its opulent interiors, once serving as the headquarters for the Cunard Line. The Port of Liverpool Building stands as a testament to the city's maritime importance. Together, they form a breathtaking ensemble that is a UNESCO World Heritage site, though sadly parts of the waterfront have been removed from the list. Reddit
