What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Nowton Park for its well-maintained grounds, diverse walking trails, and excellent facilities, including a cafe and clean toilets. It's highlighted as an ideal spot for families, dog walkers, and anyone seeking a peaceful day out in nature. Some minor drawbacks include paid parking and the walled garden's Sunday closure.
"A great well maintained park, ideal for short or longer walks. Has great facilities with a lovely cafe and well maintained public toilets. Everything was well presented and obviously well maintained. Regular forestry work was evident. There were some lovely walks through the trees and given we visited at the beginning of springtime, the birds were well and truly singing their hearts out as sunset approached. As someone recovering from a recent heart procedure and still building up my strength, it is a relatively flat walk with next to no elevation changes."
Chris “Shiner” Wright
"Love how quiet this park is and all the different routes. If you have dogs that love animals, be careful they are everywhere! Squirrels, bids and monk jacks."
Joanne Horvath
"Nice park area, almost 200 acres with different length trails marked out. Play area and sports pitches available. Decent paid car parking."
