Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum for its free admission, engaging exhibits on the Blitz, and incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. While small, its focused approach offers a poignant and educational experience, making it a highly recommended stop for history enthusiasts.

"Had a great time. Small museum but its free and staff are great. We got speaking a staff member and he was very informative and he had loads of history to share."

"Oddly, this museum was not on our Belfast itinerary. Happily we walked by one day during our stay and ventured in. We were glad that we did. If offers an insight into Northern Island's participation and experiences during times of world wide conflict. Displays are well curated and well lit. We learned much during our visit. Luckily there was a person working that day who had an intimate knowledge on the subject. We were grateful for him sharing his knowledge with us.

The museum is modest in scope. I believe that they are fundraising in the hope of moving to bigger premises. Plus they are continuing to collect oral histories which will be an added bonus to future visitors. We spent slightly less than an hour visiting. But there is much to absorb. Best of all, admission is free."

"Small museum, but suitable for history buffs to get their dose.

Smallness was not a problem, since the exhibition was in scale with the topic. Whole concept was refreshingly small compared to large exhausting museums where visitor tires one’s self with material which proper intake would take days.

This was just suitable as part of walk around the city after, which you feel you have done something educational and you can reward yourself with a cup of coffee.

Door had a doorbell/buzzard system, which required some thinking and created an assumption they have a large weapons collection. They didn’t and for gun buffs this is not the right place."
