"Worth a visit nice quaint village the Chapel is lovely very old and you can imagine the past Norman and Saxon times back then"

Michael O'Connor

"A really nice place to visit, very interesting and different. A small car park, but plenty of unrestricted on road parking very close by. Plenty of paths and walks nearby, don't forget to wander around the Cathedral Medows whilst you're here! Free to enter and a good way to spend half a day."

Ashley Peart

"A small Norman ruin in Elmham, just outside of Dereham.

There is a small carpark next to the town church where you can access the ruins.

Plenty of information signs telling you what you are looking at.

Paths surrounding the ruins can be walked in about 10 minutes.
This is not a day out. It is a quick stop attraction.

However, there is a path that leads off into a lower field where you can walk down to see an old disused railway line. We often see pheasants and buzzards when walking this track down to, and then back up to the chapel ruins. This will add about 30 minutes to your time spent at the site.

This attraction by its nature is not easily accessible if you are reliant on wheelchair access or have impaired mobility."
