What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Brampton Museum for its engaging exhibits, particularly the Victorian street scene and toy collection, and its welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. The free admission is a major draw, and the outdoor play areas are a hit with families. However, the cafe's cash-only policy has been a recurring point of frustration for some.
"What a fantastic museum! Great exhibits, excellent food and cuppa from the cafe, but mostly what a thriving, friendly, reaching-out place. We went for the Black Victorians afternoon and there was so much happening that we could get involved with. Spent a very happy hour making a collage. (Why don't adults get to do this sort of thing more often?) Highly recommended and I will definitely be visiting again, even though I live an hour away in Shropshire."

"Excellent museum in a lovely building with plenty of interesting items on display from the local area and information about historical local figures. Something for all ages. My 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed the Victorian street and loved the kitchen range. Friendly staff on hand. It's free but deserves a donation. Cafe and little shop on site. Outside there's an aviary, sandpit, gardens and childrens park. Plenty of available parking."
