What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Morecambe Bay is appreciated for its vast, scenic beauty and the unique adventure of the Cross Bay Walk, though it requires careful planning with guides due to tidal dangers. The town offers a quiet, nostalgic seaside charm with amenities like a promenade and the iconic Eric Morecambe statue, though some find the beach less ideal for very young children.
"It’s a very quiet seaside town. I use to come here in my teens and 20s when it was quite busy. I will definitely come back again. The train station was 5 minutes walk from the beach. The tide was not far out to reach the beach. Probably less than 5 minutes. I saw Eric Morecambe’s statue. I went into a charity shop down a side street and got a really good quality M & S woollen skirt for the winter. It cost me £1. I got a book on herbal remedies for common ailments . I expected to pay at least a £1 . It was 20p. I went into another charity shop that had good quality furniture. Including baby buggy’s . They were all sold off. The furniture price tags had sold on the back."
