Reviews Summary

Moel Hebog is lauded as a classic Snowdonia hike, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience with epic summit views. Hikers enjoy the engaging rocky terrain and scrambling opportunities, with many recommending combining it with neighboring peaks for a full day's adventure. The descent through Beddgelert Forest and the village's amenities are also frequently praised.

"Lovely hike. Even got to do some scrambling on places. Views from top are epic."

Lawrence Davies

"Fantastic day hike from Beddgelert, bag it along with Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn. Took around 5.5hrs all in including breaks. Well marked footpaths the entire way, some moderately step descent from Hebog down to the Ogof saddle but not difficult. The final ascent to Hebog and the very summits of Lefn and Ogof are tricky and involve a little scrambling which is fun but easy enough. Overall easy hike but with enough difficulty in parts to keep it interesting. Beautiful views of Snowdonia to be had, spotted a couple of viviparous lizard on the way down. Descent though Beddgelert forest along the steam is lovely if a little muddy. The dog loved it. Go down into Beddgelert, get an ice cream, and chill out by the river."

Darren Storey

"A classic Snowdonia hike start from Beddgelert. Steep ascent. Continue along to Moel Yr Ogof and Moel Lefn for a full days hike."
