"A lovely small town, in beautiful countryside. There's every amenity you could wish for. The steam railway is always popular. Butlins is a short walk away for those wanting bargain basement entertainment!!"
Brian
"We had to explore this Station and marvel at the steam trains whilst on our visit to the centre of Minehead. It was great to see at least three different steam trains in good working order pulling carriages full of happy holiday makers up and down the coast here. We also saw at least one older style diesel train here.
The station is really furnished in the old style with plenty of relics from the past. There's also an open second hand book store, cafe and old fashioned, clean toilets.
A very nice place to visit. Pity we didn't really have time to take a ride."
Ian Knights
"Great experience travelling along the longest heritage line in the country. Great cafe at the station serving pasties and cream teas. Really friendly staff along the complete railway. All stations well presented and all see to have tea rooms and other interesting exhibits. Well worth getting off the train a few times to get the full railway experience. Unusual to see the GWR HST on the line today."
