What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mercato Metropolitano offers a vast array of international street food in a vibrant, spacious setting, making it a popular spot for diverse culinary exploration. While many praise the delicious food and lively atmosphere, some find the prices to be quite high, comparable to restaurant dining, and the market can get noisy and hectic. [^review]
"It's a big food hall from food around the world mostly manned by immigrants like Indians. Staff are very nice. Lunch on Sunday was not particularly busy at all. BAO buns were good, spring rolls better, the samosa chat easy good and well priced, the tacos from the Mexican spot good, pizza good, but the french duck wrap was not very good and def needed more sauce. All of it is generally expensive for quality."

"The food at Mercato Metropolitano is definitely tasty , as you’d expect from good street food. However, I found the prices quite high considering it’s a street food market. You end up paying almost the same as you would in a regular restaurant, but without the comfort ,it’s noisier, colder, and much more hectic.
I tried the mixed grill for £18.50, which included 4 ribs, 5 chicken wings, and some chips. It was good, but honestly a bit expensive for what you get. My friend had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, also £18, and while it was delicious, again it felt more like restaurant pricing.
Overall, the food is delicious, but both the food and drinks are on the pricey side. It’s a fun experience and worth trying once, but to spend money and be prepared to leave smelling like food!"

"Great choice of food. I would go when it is busy. I had the vegan JAH Love meal but the rice and peas were dry. Plantain and chickpea curry was delicious. My friends vegan pad Thai was not good at all. If it is busy the food might be fresher."
