"Great forest park to spend the day in. Plenty of facilities such as a cafe, toilets and a playground. If you have small children or just want to have a giggle you can go searching for the fairies in the forest and it’s really good as it tells a story for each part you visit. There’s trails from 1km to 36km! The map gives you guidance if it’s easy or hard which you can download from the website, but to be fair I did get slightly lost as the sign posts aren’t the best so it’s confusing what trail you’re on.
It’s £5 per car but if you are local to the district you can choose this one as your free entry one for the year.
I recommend after you’ve done all your walking to do the forest drive which takes you up through the forest and mountain with some great scenery pics. It can be a little bumpy and tight road but it’s worth it."
