This Incredible Museum in Jedburgh, gives a great insight into the life and times of Mary Queen of Scots including the replica Death Mask that gives an idea of what she would have looked like. She fell ill when visiting Jedburgh and spent time at the Tower House, it is why it was transformed into a museum in her honour in the 1930s.

A visit to Jedburgh - with its gorgeous 12th century Augustinian abbey and Mary Queen of Scots house - both fantastic places to visit in the Borders of Scotland. "Visited here a few times over the years and still taken back by the beautiful gardens and attention to detail. We drove to Jedburgh from Washington for a day visit and I'm pleased we did.

Firstly, it's free to visit; however, you can leave a donation to keep up with the maintenance. The wonderful lady who greets visitors, located at the entrance is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I very much enjoyed speaking with her during our visit. We read all the information boards alongside the exhibits, which were very informative and easy to read and comprehend. Definitely spend some time reading these as it paints a picture of Mary Queen of Scots life and her ultimate death.

Overall, the building and grounds have been kept in excellent condition. A very informative visit and I plan to visit again in the future."
