Reviews Summary

Marloes Sands is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, expansive golden sands, and year-round dog-friendly policy. Visitors love the dramatic coastal walks and the convenient, highly-rated Runwayskiln cafe. However, some find the descent to the beach quite steep, which can be a challenge for those with mobility issues or young children.

"Lovely sandy beach. Totally dog friendly. Also amazing landscaping. 10 minutes drive from Dale village.

Park at National car park, of course it’s free if you are the member of National Trust, or pay £3.50 for three hours or £7 for all day.

There is a lovely cafe called Runwayskiln, a minute walk from the car park offers great food."

"Amazing beach and should be ranked as one of the of the top beaches in Wales. At low tide there is a huge expanse of firm sand to walk on a plenty of rock pools. It is quite tricky to navigate the rocks between the bottom of the path and the beach itself so it might be a challenge if you are not very agile. There are TWO routes down, the one with the best views is past the cafe and toilets but it is a cliff path with steep sections. The much easier path is not well signposted. Go back up the road about 30 yards and there is a gate and a wide gravel path that takes you to the beach and is a much easier gradient. The best choice is the cliff route down and the easy path up!"

Neville Merritt

"Stunning location the dogs had a blast running on the sand and swimming! Bit of a steep walk in, easily done with a pushchair (but there are steps at the end with a few rocks thrown in)!"
