What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the market's modern redesign appealing with diverse food stalls and pleasant seating. However, the aggressive seagull population is a significant drawback, and many stalls are closed on non-market days, leading to disappointment. Parking is generally good, but accessibility for the less mobile might still be an issue despite recent improvements.
"I love the new build, gave it a feel of a modern market"

"Lots of different food options here, but overrun with seagulls. Although the kids enjoyed feeding them, I don’t think the people nearby did. One guy walking with his chips got attacked, the seagulls are a menace, and huge!"
Martin Abrams
"We went on the non- market day and most of the stalls in the indoor market area were shut. Disappointed not to see more of the permanent stalls open. I'm guessing would be better on market days on Wednesday and Saturday.
There was plenty of parking but I'm guessing this gets busy on market days.
The area could do with more seating for those less mobile but I understand they have now completed the redesign of the market so it may be more accessible.
There are a few shops around the fringe of the market but many of these are now charity shops but at least they are open."
