Its picturesque waterfront setting also garners significant admiration. Some find the narrow approach roads challenging.
"Be prepared for some narrow lanes if you are driving here, but if you are walking the SW coast path you'll go right past the church. (You can cross Gillan Creek on stepping stones a couple of hours either side of low tide). In such a picturesque setting near the mouth of the Helford River this is a well photographed church. The pulpit has a carved figure of St Anthony with his symbols of a T Cross, a bell and a pig (there are a number of explanations for the pig). No electric light at St Anthony, but 18 brass sconces and chandeliers."

"Adorable church in a beautiful location with an historic and unspoilt interior still using candles in candelabras to light the church. The church has a ring of eight bells that have a gorgeous him to them when rung. It was an absolute delight to ring here on the second-to-last day of 2023. Thank you!"

"Absolute gem of a church nestled next to sailboats on the bay with vicars going back to the 1200s - full list on the wall inside. Beautifully maintained. Remnants of a Rood Loft visible on the wall opposite the door - what's that you ask? Pop in to unlock the mystery."
