I am no great fan of big birds of prey, but I like the walk though the woods, I sat in Swan hide for half an hour.. the swans were miles away, I saw the usual geese and ducks etc... just a beautiful peace and quiet, so rare now in our society.. then I saw lovely speckled wood butterflies... delicious blackberries and polished off with a cup of tea in the centre..

Top tip: take a picnic to enjoy in one of several spots. Or call in at Picks Barn cafe, signposted from the end of the road, but closed Monday and Tuesday."
