What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lowestoft South Beach is praised for its lovely, soft golden sand and clean sea, offering a peaceful seaside experience. Visitors appreciate the accessible promenade with amenities like toilets and kiosks, as well as the nearby charm of Kirkley Village. Some find the pier and entertainment options lacking for families.
"Lovely beach, golden sand and bonus of amazing sculptures, Walking Men by Laurence Edwards. Sadly the sculptures are only there till the end of August. We stayed in the Best Western Hotel Hatfield, right on the beach front. Spacious terrace and food and drink excellent and very reasonable. Room good. Worth exploring the area, Kirkley Village with its quirky, artisan shops. Recommend Desmond a one of a kind cafe offering hot, cold drinks and food in a cool, laid back artsy vibe. Its not pretentious, just friendly and comfortable. Also The Chippy, best fish and chips and great service."
